The Evan Coleman Memorial Scholarship

EvanColeman
A scholarship for graduating high school seniors who are nevus owners and planning on majoring in STEM.

The Evan Coleman Memorial Scholarship

Thank you for your interest in applying for the Evan Coleman Memorial Scholarship!

Nevus Outreach is offering 1 - $500 scholarships in honor of Evan.

Evan was a renaissance man in a soundbite age, loved music, art math, animals, building, architecture and computers. Evan was unable to learn alongside his peers in school during his 5 years of cancer treatment. But ever optimistic, Evan seized the moment, allowing his innate curiosity and creativity to drive his exploration of the world and discovery of mysteries in the mundane. We can only guess what Evan would be doing if he were still with us, but his family is confident he would have pursued an education and career in the STEM field, showing the world how to find beauty in complexity.

In honor of the Coleman family, Nevus Outreach established the Evan Coleman Memorial Scholarships to benefit a graduating high school senior, who is a nevus owner and demonstrates a passion for love of family. Applicants must plan to pursue a degree in the field of medical research or STEM at an accredited four-year college or university.

Students meeting the below criteria and are planning to major in medical research or STEM (i.e. Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) are encouraged to apply for the scholarship. The selected recipient will be a well-rounded individual who shares Evan’s passions of family, learning, and using your imagination.

  • Be a Nevus owner.

  • Be a graduating senior from either a public or private high school.
