Grant Coordinator

About the Role

Position Overview

Nevus Outreach is seeking a committed volunteer to serve as a Grant Coordinator, helping us strengthen our funding base and advance our mission to support individuals and families affected by congenital melanocytic nevi (CMN) and related conditions. In this role, you will work closely with staff and board leadership to identify grant opportunities, assist with proposal preparation, and track reporting deadlines. This is an excellent opportunity to build skills in nonprofit development while making a meaningful impact in the rare disease community.


Commitment & Responsibilities
  • Research new grant opportunities aligned with Nevus Outreach’s mission and programs.

  • Maintain a calendar of application deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Support the drafting of proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.

  • Assist staff with collecting data, stories, and financial information for applications and reports.

  • Track submitted grants and outcomes in coordination with staff.

  • Provide quarterly updates to staff and board regarding grant activity.


Who You Are

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about advancing the mission

of Nevus Outreach. Preferred qualifications include:

  • Strong writing, editing, and research skills.

  • Ability to organize and track multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Prior nonprofit, fundraising, or grant writing experience (preferred but not required).

  • Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with a team.

  • Commitment to the mission of Nevus Outreach and patient-centered advocacy.

Time Commitment
