About the Role
Nevus Outreach Website Volunteer
Position Summary:
The Website Volunteer will play a crucial role in helping to maintain and enhance the Nevus Outreach website. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the website is informative, user-friendly, and accurately reflects the organization's mission and activities.
Responsibilities:
Content Updates:
Assist in editing, and updating website content (e.g., news articles, event pages, resource library, blog entries).
Assist with the integration of multimedia elements (images, videos) into website pages.
Website Maintenance:
Assist with basic website updates and modifications like SEO, Alt Text edits and updates
Collaboration:
Actively participate in the Website Working Group meetings on the Second Wednesday of the Month at 9:00 A.M. central time.
Predominate collaboration will happen asynchronously via our project management platform
Collaborate with other communications volunteers and staff to ensure consistency in website messaging and branding.
Qualifications:
Strong writing and editing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (preferred but not required).
Experience with content management systems (CMS) (preferred but not required).
Passion for Nevus Outreach's mission.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail.

Commitment to regular volunteer hours.
Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
Time Commitment:
Flexible, with an estimated 1 - 3 hours per month.
