About the Role
The Rally for Rare Event Coordinator will communicate, organize, and execute community rallies in February and March 2025 to raise awareness for CMN, NCM, and related conditions.
Responsibilities
Event Planning
Work with the Director of Membership to develop a detailed event timeline and budget.
Coordinate with various location hosts.
Host or Support at least one Location for Rally for Rare
Volunteer Management
Work with the Director of Membership to recruit and support a team of volunteers to assist with the identification of event hosts, event registration, and other tasks.
Provide training and guidance to volunteers hosting events.
Marketing and Promotion
Work with the Marketing Communications team to develop marketing materials such as flyers, social media posts, and press releases.
Post-Event Evaluation
Gather feedback from attendees and volunteers.
Analyze the event's success and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
Must be US-based and available to attend daytime meetings.
Strong organizational and planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in event planning or project management is preferred.
Passion for raising awareness and supporting individuals with CMN, NCM, and related conditions.
Commitment:
6 month commitment: 2-3 hours per week (Nov-Jan), as needed (February-April)
