Having a nevus makes you “different”. Because appearance has a lot to do with human interactions, having a congenital nevus can put children and youth at higher risk for social difficulties. This session will describe two just-completed studies on this topic of differences. The team will then discuss responses to these challenges and the importance of resilience. , They will also engage the audience to share what works – and what doesn’t.
