Nevus Research Projects
Nevus Outreach has funded several different scientific research projects since 1998 which have resulted in an overall increase in knowledge among medical and scientific professionals.
Currently we are working to fund a 3-year 1.2 million dollar research project in Europe which has the potential result of controlling the replication mechanism of melanocytes - the cells that make up a congenital pigmented nevus. The project calls for human testing as early as 2009.
More information about this project is available to Nevus Outreach members in the Nevus Neighborhood. If you are not a part of the Nevus Neighborhood, you should contact the office if you are interested in talking about this project.
