Psychological Challenges

Most of the time large moles are both unusual and noticeable. They definitely look "different," and especially draw attention when they're on the face. Onlooking adults and children may sometimes react without considering how they come across. These inconsiderate reactions can be insensitive at best and cruel at worst. People with large moles get more than their fair share of looks, stares, whispering and finger-pointing. Nevus Outreach is working to educate the public about large nevi and offer support to persons and families affected by large nevi.
