We have answers now to the rest of the questions. Based on the results of the neuropsychology evaluation, which also confirmed that Megan's right temporal lobe has long been compromised, we are now confident that removing the affected part of it will likely cause no further loss of function, and will end her seizures permanently.

Neuropsychological testing

The interdisciplinary committee has recommended that we proceed with surgery.  Kathy and I have agreed.  Megan is good with it, especially since they won't shave her head (!). The plan is now to come back to Memphis in November for their very specific PET scan, and if it co-locates with all the other scans and tests, we will proceed with the surgery.

Her meds are all mixed up, but the best news on the meds is that she is completely off Keppra, and there is a better form of Lamictal (Lamictal XR) than what she was on previously.  She'll be on the better drug until we come back in November.

We head back to Oklahoma Saturday.
