Join Us at the 2012 Nevus Outreach Conference and Reunion
Whether you are a newcomer or a returning attendee… an adult, teen or child with a giant nevus… a parent, spouse, or sibling, friend or relative of a person with a giant nevus… whether you are completely comfortable in your skin or could maybe use some answers or a bit of support… there is something for you at the 2012 Nevus Conference & Reunion!
Conference Sessions:
Apart from inspirational keynotes and excellent educational sessions, this year will provide lots of opportunity to discuss real life issues. In addition to gaining tips on how to deal with certain situations, this is an opportunity for you to help others by sharing how YOU navigate life and deal with different scenarios!
Events for Families, Kids and Teens**:
Family events will include:
- 4th of July Barbecue and Family Games
Celebrate America’s Independence Day with a real Texas Barbecue, line dancing, fun and games! - Pizza & Pool Party
Nothing beats a fun pool party with pizza and good friends! - Pasta Night & Family Talent Show
Show off your talent by entering the 1st Nevus Outreach talent show! Individuals and groups of all ages are invited to participate. - Semi-Formal Dinner & Dance Party.
Dine and dance the night away to tunes ranging from ‘Justin Bieber’ to ‘AC/DC’ to ‘Train’…. music and fun for everyone! - Note: vegetarian meals or other dietary requests can be accommodated upon request.
Kids ages 8-12 will enjoy field trips to the Sea Life Aquarium and Legoland, while teens will experience the ‘Main Event’ (laser tag, bowling, arcade games, etc.) and Six Flags Over Texas Theme Park.
There will be beauty/spa events, a soccer clinic taught by Camilo Casal (an ex-soccer player who played for fifteen years in Spain’s Premiere League); “Scout Camp” and many more exciting adventures. There will also be more ‘down time’ to just relax and get to know other families or explore the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
