2012 Conference Financial Assistance

Since 2004 Nevus Outreach has been able to offer a limited amount of assistance to people who otherwise cannot attend the conference.  This has generally been in the form of one of these things:

• Assisting with transportation
• Waiving conference registration
• Assisting with lodging

Because a limited amount of assistance is available, we will give preference to the following applicants:

• persons who have not come to a Nevus Outreach conference before
• persons who have not received financial assistance to attend a Nevus Outreach conference before
• persons actively engaged in raising funds for Nevus Outreach using the Grassroots Fundraiser system

The Grassroots Fundraiser system allows people to earn credit toward conference registration and hotel rooms by raising money for Nevus Outreach.  Read here for more information.

Financial assistance will only be offered to people with nevi and one other person accompanying them.  We simply cannot afford to bring whole families that are larger than this, although those additional family members are encouraged to attend if possible.

In order to apply for financial assistance, fill out this simple form.  Note that you may only select one kind of financial assistance.

People applying for financial assistance will still be eligible for the Early Bird discount even though the deadline has passed, as long as they have not been to a Nevus Outreach conference before, and they have also not received financial assistance from Nevus Outreach before. Contact the office before you register.

The deadline to apply for financial assistance is March 23.  Applicants will be advised of the committee's decisions on April 5.  Note that transportation assistance arrangements will not be made until the applicant has registered for the conference.
