Working together at a meeting in the web designers' office as we go over continued development of the financial workings of our web site, we found some exciting issues when we received a check from an organization that represented three different donors.  The employer had deducted monthly amounts from these Outreach Angels' paychecks, then at the end of the quarter, mailed us a single check for the total of the nine payroll deductions.  This, of course, is not so straightforward in the accounting department.

You could live your whole life without consciousness of this degree of minutia in the nuts-and-bolts of charity finances, eh?

Megan

I hope to post an update on my daughter's recent trip to Memphis to follow up on her brain surgery.  We met with the neurologist, the surgeon and the neuropsychologist.  It's all good news.  Really good news.

Some folks have asked if there is a way to be notified when there's a new post here.  Once the web designers put out all the financial management fires and we have more time to play, we will make this blog have more cool features.  One will be "send me an email when there's a new post."

For now, however, an astute reader, Nevus Outreach and Megan Stewart fan, who wondered the same question, found her own solution.  You can go here and put in the blog URL:

http://www.nevus.org/blogmark/

Then put in your email address.  They will then tell you they found "more than one feed."  Both feeds are really for this blog "From Where I Sit."  One is for the blog itself, the other, for you die-hards, is for the comments - so when anyone comments, you get an email, Rita.

They let you do this for up to 5 different feeds before they make you sign up and pay for it.  Let me know if it works!  Thanks.
